Caring for Others Through Healthcare<\/span><\/h6>\n

The Sweetwater Area\u2019s latest group of moms came to Climb with a passion for helping others. The training included hands-on instruction, clinical hours, and medical certifications to get them ready for employment in medical clinics, home health, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities.<\/p>\n

With a shortage of CNAs in the community, Climb\u2019s recent Sweetwater Area graduates are filling important gaps in the workforce, with some participants looking to advance into becoming nurses, EMTs, or ultrasound techs.<\/p>\n

According to AARP, two-thirds of Wyoming nursing homes are understaffed, the second-highest rate in the nation. Climb has trained more than 1,000 moms for healthcare careers. <\/span><\/h5>\n

Resources to Help Families Thrive<\/span><\/h6>\n

It\u2019s hard to succeed at work if you\u2019re constantly stressed about housing, transportation, or how to pay for heat, electricity, and food. Climb\u2019s staff supported this group with connections to critical resources to begin building stability for their families during the program. Once placed in new jobs with higher wages, graduates can continue this path toward long-term stability, which supports children\u2019s educational outcomes, social and emotional health, and employment rates moving into adulthood.<\/p>\n
