Caring for Wyoming\u2019s Elderly<\/span><\/h6>\n

Climb partnered with the University of Wyoming Center on Aging to provide Dementia Care Training, a special certification course focused on working with dementia patients. In addition, moms completed clinical training at Edgewood Aspen Wind Assisted Living to gain hands-on practice in skills such as bathing and feeding, as well as technical tasks like taking vital signs. CNA testing at the end of training includes a two-part state certification exam\u2014a knowledge test and a clinical skills evaluation.<\/p>\n

    According to AARP, two-thirds of Wyoming nursing homes are understaffed, the second-highest rate in the nation. Climb has trained more than 1,000 moms for healthcare careers.<\/span><\/h5>\n

    Climb is the first time many participants receive guidance on essential professional skills like creating a resume, building references, and practicing interview strategies. Combined with mental health support and life skills classes, Climb\u2019s work readiness curriculum helped build a strong foundation for launching and maintaining their professional careers.<\/p>\n
