Volunteers
Climb for Life is run entirely by volunteer rock climbers and youth workers. We are always looking for positive, energetic and understanding people who are keen to contribute. A detailed volunteer information pack can be downloaded here.

As a volunteer you have the opportunity to contribute in a number of ways.
coming on programs as an adult role model. Our program volunteers encourage participants and assist our climbing instructors supervise and maintain safety. They also help setup camp, cook, build the campfire and get to know participants. Having approachable and understanding adult role models that our young people can talk to is an important part of our programs.
planning our programs involves selection of professional climbing services, selection of locations for both camping and climbing, sourcing camping and cooking equipment, planning meals and purchasing food, collecting firewood and many other tasks.
liaising with youth groups and other welfare agencies to identify the most suitable participants. This is a very important and difficult task. Leaders from these organisations need to understand exactly what to expect and what is expected of them and the young people on the program.
fundraising and sponsorship are an essential activity to keep our programs going. Climb for life needs to raise thousands of dollars every year and this requires a lot of persistence and creativity.
financial administration and occasionally legal advice require special skills that Climb for Life must rely on from qualified volunteers.
